COCKTAIL TUMBLR!!

The Blog of an (ex) Bartender Gone Terribly Wrong
Free societies…are societies in motion, and with motion comes tension, dissent, friction. Free people strike sparks, and those sparks are the best evidence of freedom’s existence.

— Salman Rushdie.

In my school they gave me a “choice” to learn Spanish, French or German.  I chose German.  For four years I chose German.  For four years I was given Spanish.  I failed Spanish four years in a row… and taught myself German in six months, studying on my own for between eight and twelve hours a day and traveling to Germany three times.  Freedom to think and speak in the language of my choice.  Academic freedom!!  We must have academic freedom in our High Schools… or we are not a land of free speech.
